"Kids," a father in the commercial asks, "Do you know what it is that makes this country great?" He's referring to the all-American thousand-calorie sandwich, but Denny's patrons begin rattling off "the Constitution our forefathers wrote" and "our right to bear arms!"
Even though the ad wasn't entirely serious (at the very end, the little girl holds up her teddy bear and asks, "Bear arms?"), conservatives are singing the chain's praises.
Denny's second amendment messaging has provoked the opposite reaction.
The Freedom Post writes: "In an era where cowardly companies are caving into the vile communist minority, it's wonderful to see Denny's run this ad promoting America's greatness and constitutional principles, especially the "Right to Bear Arms," guaranteed in the Second Amendment."
Although Conservative Refocus News noted, "It probably won't be long before a bunch of radical, Obama loving, America hating Liberals begin protesting this particular All-American Restaurant for actually celebrating what makes America great."
